It is not so bad...and you get these lovely long days. I love that it is light outside so late. I admit it is initially challenging.... trying to convince 5 kids that they really are tired an hour earlier so that they should still go to bed at a decent hour. But then it is all over and you get those long sunny days......loosen up, catch up on some sleep and go to bed a little earlier for a few nights and then just relax and enjoy these langoriously sunny days that await you.

Nick! I agree - we should revolt, down with the man. Interestingly enough, I found this old post from the Department of Transportation:

Federal law does not require any area to observe daylight saving time. But if a state chooses to observe daylight time, it must follow the starting and ending dates set by the law. In those parts of the country that do not observe daylight time, no resetting of clocks is required. Those states and territories include Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.

Clearly we do not need to put up with this oppression if we don't want to. If someone gets home while it is still light, he is obviously not working hard enough.

I walked into the kitchen at work this morning at 9:15, complained about DST(I wished a series of unpleasant things upon the originator of the idea). I was met with surprise; it turns out I had infiltrated a cabal that loved DST beceause it's light out when they go home. Of course, anyone who agrees with me was likely still home nursing their 3rd cup of coffee and wondering how they'd drive into work without falling asleep.

I say we revolt. If we all agree to just stick with the old time, the government has no power to stop us. Bring back the dark! Bring back the dark!
